The sea turtle travels thousands of miles across open ocean guided by the planet’s magnetic field — and returns, every time, to the exact beach where she was born. Not approximately. Exactly. She carries within her a compass older than any map we have ever drawn, a knowing so deep it has never needed to be questioned.

In this painting she moves through a cosmos of planets and golden light, her shell underlit with variegated copper foil — warm, ancient, luminous from within. Three planets orbit around her. She is unhurried. She always arrives.

Below, a genuine metal zipper creates the illusion of the world peeling back — frozen at the moment of reveal — deep red and teal built up in layers beneath the seam, glass micro beads catching the light at the threshold, the world you know giving way to reveal the path she has always been on.
