Memorial Commissions

If your commission is a memorial painting, please know that your loved one will be treated with the utmost care and respect throughout every stage of the process. I understand the profound trust you place in me when you bring someone so dear into my hands, and I do not take that lightly.

Pet ashes can be incorporated into the painting medium as an optional extra. Please mention this in your inquiry form and we will discuss the details with sensitivity during our consultation.

Good quality, well-lit reference photographs are required. The quality of your references directly shapes the depth of the final painting.

The Process

How It Works

Submit Your Inquiry

Fill out the commission form with as much detail as you can about your subject, preferred size, and any extras you have in mind. Don't worry if some details are still forming.

Acceptance

I review each inquiry personally and confirm whether I am able to take on your commission. If accepted, we move to the next stage.

$90 Reference Image Fee

Digital Source Image

A non-refundable $90 reference image fee is required to begin. This fee is deducted from your final painting cost.

Using your reference photographs and the information you have provided, I create a bespoke digital source image. You will receive an example of a previous source image alongside the finished canvas it became, so you can understand how the final painting comes together.

Up to 3 adjustments are included. The digital source image is copyright and may not be taken to another artist.

Not quite right? A scrap and redo option is available for $80. This starts the source image process fresh. Redo fees are not deducted from the final painting cost.

50% Deposit Due

Approval to Paint

Once you approve the source image, 50% of the remaining painting cost is due to confirm your place and begin the painting.

Creation

Commissions typically take a few months to complete, from reference image work through to the final painted layers. If your commission is for a specific occasion or date, please mention this in your inquiry so we can discuss timelines.

Balance Due on Completion

Delivery

The remaining balance and any shipping costs are due on completion. Free collection and local delivery are available.
