The Dove has carried the olive branch across every tradition that has ever needed to believe in something. But the deeper truth of her is not that she brings peace from somewhere else. It is that she carries it within her — through the storm, through the dark, through the wreckage — because she found it inside herself first and it cannot be taken.

In this painting she rises through a cosmic field of black and gold, wings spread wide, olive branch held steady. Around her the world is dark and vast and full of debris. She is entirely unbothered. She already found what she was looking for.
