The Peacock spreads his tail in full knowledge that every predator in the forest can now see him. He does it anyway. Not in spite of the risk — because of it. Every tradition that has honoured him understands this: true magnificence is not the absence of vulnerability. It is the decision to be fully visible regardless of it.

In this painting he commands the entire canvas — an explosion of teal, gold, and violet against a cosmic sky, a ringed planet blazing above him, purple-foiled eyes watching from every feather. He is not performing. He is simply being what he is, at full volume, without apology.

Below, a genuine metal zipper creates the illusion of the world peeling back — frozen at the moment of reveal — a rich layered world of collage, glass, micro beads, and foil built beneath the seam, the most complex and abundant zipper section in the collection, as extravagant as the creature it holds.
