Fine art print produced in-studio on 300gsm heavyweight fine art paper using Epson’s premium ink system. Each print is made one sheet at a time and inspected before it leaves. Ships flat in a rigid protective mailer.

She does not navigate toward the moon. She carries it. The full moon sits at her body’s center — warm copper, radiant, the source of light held within rather than sought without. The four crescent eye-spots across her wings tell the complete lunar story: waning on the left, waxing on the right, the full cycle carried in her markings as she moves through the dark. She does not need a compass. She is one.

Note: the original carries hand-applied variegated copper foil on the crescent eye-spots and full moon at the body’s center — shifting from deep bronze to warm gold with the light — a surface quality unique to the original work. As the final painting created to close the Animarii series, this print marks the end of one journey and the beginning of the next. Comes with a certificate of authenticity.

This print is part of Animarii, a 12-piece series of original oil paintings on professional watercolor sheet by British-Californian artist Rebecca Papillon.

The printed image measures 12x18 inches, presented on a 13x19 inch sheet of 300gsm heavyweight fine art paper with a half-inch border on all four sides.

Framing guidance
This print frames beautifully in any standard frame with a 12x18 inch mat aperture. We recommend UV-filtering conservation glass or acrylic to protect the print over time — ask your framer for conservation glass or Museum Glass. Do not hang in direct sunlight — avoid placement opposite south- or west-facing windows and skylights.
